Effective September 23, 2008, the merged entity of Aliant Credit Union and Southeast Nebraska Federal Credit Union is now known as MembersOwn Credit Union.
MembersOwn Credit Union is a non-profit financial cooperative formed in 1936. It all began with the Lincoln Telephone Company employees coming together to form a financial cooperative, and through the 70+ years since, we have expanded and grown. In December 2008, we merged with Southeast Nebraska Federal Credit Union in Beatrice and now proudly serve members who live, work, volunteer, worship or attend school in Lancaster and Gage Counties and members of their immediate family or household.
Southeast Nebraska Federal Credit Union was the result of a merger in 1995 between Gage County Federal Credit Union, chartered in 1962, and Store Kraft Employees Credit Union, chartered in 1948. In 2001 the credit union built a new facility as a way to improve service and grow in the community.
Continuing to keep service to our members a priority helped bring Southeast Nebraska FCU and Aliant CU together, combining their past histories for a stronger, expanded future for all members.
Through personal family-style service and embracing technology, we continue that cooperative nature we were formed with by providing our members a convenient, economical way to borrow and save money at great rates, access services and become financially successful!
Credit Unions are unique financial institutions. We do not have customers, we have Members and our members collectively own the Credit Union. Regardless of the size of the account, each member has one vote with which they elect, from among themselves, a Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee. Our members, through this Board and Committee, set policy and direction for the Credit union.
You will find that each Credit Union member is a part of the Credit Union family, not just an account number. At the Credit Union, the Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, and staff all believe in providing you with appropriate and economical financial services. Remember - we're here to help you meet your financial goals.

The Mission of the MembersOwn Credit Union is to serve the membership of the Credit Union by offering appropriate and economical services while maintaining the safety and financial soundness of the Credit Union and supporting the precepts of the Credit Union philosophy. "People Helping People."
